In this article, I am going to share how students can increase their memory power and Concentration power by Yoga, Yoga Asanas, and Pranayama. Also, I will give helpful tips for study and Yoga.

Yoga For Students To Increase Memory And Concentration Power

Yoga can boost your Memory and concentration power. But firstly, you need to understand what is Yoga? and how can help us with our studies?

There are many sources of Yoga in Hindu scriptures so there are many definitions. But the general definition of Yoga is as following:

“Yoga is a combination of physical, mental, and spiritual practice for a healthy and balanced life.”

And According to the Main source of Yoga i.e., Patanjali Sutra has Eight limbs also known as Ashtanga Yoga. The eight limbs of Yoga are Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, and Samadhi.

Out of these eight limbs, Yoga Asana and Yoga pranayama are two yoga limbs which are very helpful for improving and increasing memory and concentration.

Yoga Asanas to increasing Memory Power and Concentration Power

Yoga Asanas (Yoga poses) are helpful for physical and mental fitness. Yoga asanas are helpful for physical fitness as it balances all the body elements and helpful for mental fitness as it improves brain power and gives strength.

Yoga Asanas are generally body posture and we often called it as Yoga poses. There are many Yoga poses that help to improve brain power (memory and concentration). Here are some major Yoga Asanas (Yoga poses) listed below.

Generally, Pranayam means Breathing. Yoga pranayama helps to maintain blood pressure and oxygen level in the body and gives us the feeling of calmness. Yoga Pranayam is also helpful to beat the exam fear.

There are several breathing techniques in Yoga which are very helpful for students to improve memory and concentration. Here are some Yoga Pranayam (Breathing Techniques) listed below.

  2. Anulom Vilom (Nadi Shodhan) Pranayama

Yoga Meditation for Students to Increase Brain Power

Meditation is a very essential and helpful tool for every person. If students practice meditation regularly then, many problems like stress, anger, etc will be gone.

Meditation is a simple Yoga practice in which you have to sit quiet and relaxed in a peaceful and clean environment. The area which you will select for meditation should be clean. Steps for simple and effective meditation are:

  1. Sit quiet and relaxed in the ground. ( Don’t use Chair or Bed)
  2. Your Posture should be straight as well as relaxed.
  3. Close your eyes
  4. Start observing your breathing.
  5. Simple observe Breathing and do not make your breath fast or slow. Make it natural.

If you are doing meditation for the first time then you can do it for 20-30 minutes for a few days. After 1-2 week, you can increase your meditation time.

Yoga Asanas and Pranayama During Exam Time

According to an educational site, we have found many problems student faces during exam time. some common problems are exam fear, stress, lack of memory power, lack of concentration, low confidence level, etc.

In exam time, not only 10th sample papers and 12th sample papers will help students in their board exam but Yoga could effectively help students especially in exam time.

First thing is getting up early in the morning and practicing Surya Namaskar regularly will give the actual growth (physically, mentally, and spiritually).
